After setting up a Raspberry Pi web server<\/a>, a Raspberry Pi TV Box<\/a> and a Raspberry Pi CCTV<\/a>, I had utilised most of the USB chargers that I had accumulated over the years. <\/p>\n

As a replacement for those USB chargers that my Raspberry Pis had utilised, I bought the Anker 40W\/8A 5-Port USB wall charger<\/a> from a local store. In this post, I document why I love my Anker 40W\/8A 5-Port USB Charger. <\/p>\n

It is aesthetically pleasing<\/h2>\n

Its white smooth case with rounded edges is harmonious with my white table top. In addition, the usb ports on the charger are succinctly spaced to keep the size of the charger from taking up too much unnecessary space on my desk.<\/p>\n

It can charge multiple handheld devices fast<\/h2>\n

The PowerIQ and VoltageBoost charging technology is apparent; I noticed at least a two fold time reduction in charging my old Samsung S4. This still hold true when I charge a iPad 2, a Samsung Galaxy Note, a Samsung Galaxy S4, an iPhone 5s and an iPhone 6s all at once.<\/p>\n

It can keep my Raspberry Pis running<\/h2>\n

Apart from devices that allow me to call home, I am finding myself running multiple Raspberry Pis in the house. Apart from charging my handheld devices, my Anker 40W\/8A 5-Port USB wall charger is also capable of keeping my Raspberry Pi 3 web server<\/a> and Raspberry Pi 3 CCTV<\/a> running for a couple of days before I connected them back to the usb chargers that I had allocated to them.<\/p>\n

I will definitely buy another one for new Raspberry Pis that I set up in the future.<\/p>\n

It is portable<\/h2>\n

Taking only around 123.75 cubic centimetres (9cm X 5.5cm X 2.5cm) of space, my Anker 40W\/8A 5-Port USB wall charger can definitely fit into my travel backpack. With this charger, there is no longer the need to bring multiple wall chargers for family trips. <\/p>\n

It works well with my existing charging cables<\/h2>\n

My existing collection of USB cables that came long with my devices fit snugly into the USB ports of my Anker 40W\/8A 5-Port USB wall charger. It is also relatively easy to remove the cables from the USB ports. The PowerIQ and VoltageBoost charging technology are agnostic; my my Anker 40W\/8A 5-Port USB wall charger still charge my devices fast with the cables that came along with my devices. <\/p>\n\n
