the default password of the pi user.<\/p>\n<p>When you want to change the default password of the current user in Raspbian Stretch, you can do it via <code>raspi-config<\/code>.<\/p>\n<p>In case you need it, this post shows how to change password of the current user in Raspbian Stretch using <code>raspi-config<\/code>.<\/p>\n<p>First, open a Terminal window by clicking on the highlighted icon at desktop with a terminal window\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Once the terminal window had started, type the following command in the terminal window:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush: bash; title: ; notranslate\" title=\"\">\r\nsudo raspi-config\r\n<\/pre>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.techcoil.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Raspbian-Stretch-20181113-terminal-window-with-sudo-raspi-config.jpg\" alt=\"Raspbian Stretch 20181113 terminal window with sudo raspi-config\"\/><\/p>\n<p>After <code>raspi-config<\/code> loads in your terminal, go through the following screens to change password of the current user in Raspbian Stretch:<\/p>\n<p>Select <strong>Change User Password<\/strong> at the first menu of <code>raspi-config<\/code>:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" Change User Password selected\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you had done so, <code>raspi-config<\/code> will indicate that you will be asked to change the password for the current user:<br \/>\n<img back to the terminal program to enter a new password:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" password\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After you had entered your password, you will be asked to re-enter the same password again.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" prompting for new password to be entered again\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you had done so, <code>raspi-config<\/code> will indicate that you had successfully changed the password for the current user.<br <strong>Finish<\/strong> at the first screen:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\"
